環保政策英文自傳範例 Environmental Policy Personal Statement Example米德佳提供翻譯服務,英文自傳,英文履歷表,英文求職文件,學術論文修改及文件編修等服務。I have never understood politicians. Are they supposed to be economists or philosophers? Or should they be environmentalists instead? My questions have made me a dreamer who fights reality. While philosophy centers around the question What would be the best way to live ?, economics dictates how to live. Politics determine how these two will be applied. My dream is to learn to create a new way of doing politics, politics whose goals are to educate, to provide as much personal liberty as possible and to create a better reality. My questions predispose me to ask why people behave as they do. Taking I.B. Economics Higher and reading widely have reinforced my thinking and inspired me to find solutions. I favor macroeconomics, especially inflation and unemployment, as well as trade and sustainable development.Reading The Economist keeps me informed of current events. However, coming from Venezuela with its serious poverty, the lack of factual coverage in The Economist and my Economics syllabus disappoints me. Journalists barely touch on the hopelessness, instead providing optimistic solutions. Few find a working philosophy similar to that of Medecins sans frontiers: help those who can no longer help themselves. Articles dealing with ethical topics in the Harvard Business Review satisfy my queries more. They speak of philosophy, politics, economics and the environmental situation as tools for changing today’s world by acting logically but carefully. It is my respect for people that makes me react strongly to ideas like Steven Levitt’s which treat abortion and events around it as economic issues in Freakonomics. He neglects the ethical/political dimensions; he leaves no room for the human being. My father and mother raised my sister and me to consider ourselves no better than the kids we played with, the very poor kids who lived near our beach house and farm. Everyone deserves respect; an idea he engrained in us. He made certain we saw close-up the reality millions of people live daily: poverty. Yet, the poverty I have witnessed is nothing compared to that in other parts of the world. Living in Europe has not made me forget where I come from, though it has provided me an example of a society that cares for its people and its ecosystem.Advocates for justice need strong communication skills and mastery of several languages if they are to solve problems. I speak only four languages, but they give me multiple souls. Through language I understand people and cultures better and I see their problems more precisely. I am determined to learn more languages.I have been involved in activities, which require critical thinking, leadership, speaking up and care for others and our surroundings. From an early age I showed interest in the basic elements composing this idea of dreamer v. reality. I succeeded in helping increase the School’s janitors’ salaries, getting food to people with Huntington’s Disease and regularly participating in recycling programs. At my current school teachers oblige students to work independently and resourcefully. This has helped me mature and work for my own sake and satisfaction. My bruises come from playing hooker on the rugby team. The UK with its ethnic diversity and degree courses correspond to my dreamer v. reality mind. The combination of all these elements suits the person I am and the person I want to be: the dreamer who fights reality. Surely these choices are the best way for me to acquire more experience in order to make the world a better place to live.

The importance and relevance of economic related disciplines to the modern world have led me to want to pursue the study of the subject at a higher level. I am particularly interested in the behaviour of firms and organisations from an economic point of view and I have based my A-level coursework in this field. During my study, I have come across many real life complexities and while attempting to explain these theories, I have developed a keen interest in analysing and understanding how the world of business is influenced by economics.I have created an economics revision website for A-level and GCSE students. It is primarily intended to help younger students gain an understanding of core economic principles but has also helped me improve my own computer and presentational skills. I regularly read newspapers and economic publications to keep up to date with economic developments and I am able to use my mathematical and analytical skills to apply different economic theories to a range of real-life economic situations.Last year, I took part in an economics and business project called Young Enterprise in which I set up a small company and sold products to students at our school. I enjoyed the chance to put some of my business economic theory into practice and was able to enhance my management and communication skills. I also gained a distinction in the associated exam.To gain practical experience in the workplace, I worked for two weeks at a small software company specialising in financial software. I currently have a part time job and this has taught me much about teamwork, responsibility and time management in the workplace. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, swimming, sketching and solving puzzles and logic problems. I have redesigned and been responsible for the maintenance of my school’s website.I believe that I will gain a highly marketable set of skills from the study of economics at university. I have found economics to be a challenging and diverse discipline and I am interested in both macro and micro economics. It is this variation of perspective, combined with its real world importance, that makes economics an appealing subject to study at university.

戲劇學英文自傳範例 Drama Personal Statement Example米德佳提供翻譯服務,英文自傳,英文履歷表,英文求職文件,學術論文修改及文件編修等服務。The stage is a very intoxicating mixture to me, the bright lights, the new character and a audience to amaze, all these parts of drama even as a little girl I found exciting. I would go to theatre’s and see play’s and just dream of being apart of that some day, Drama inspired me to succeed in my education and has been a passion of mine for many years. What draws me so strongly, to drama is that it has always been a liberating experience for me. I adore the idea of being apart of something bursting with charisma and enthusiasm. I feel that the theatrical experiences that I have had, have been a gift. I would love to explore the chance to gain more knowledge about the subject and to gain more personal experience and skill in this area.Whilst studying drama I have acted many character’s and been amazed by the camouflage, an actor undertakes to bring to life a character. I was ‘Winnie’ in ‘Female Transport,’ This character was an upbeat, overly chatty woman but ‘Winnie’ was enjoyable character to act, where as I was cast as Andormache in ‘Trojan Woman’ there is great deal of emotion that Andormache experiences, It was a great opportunity to act a character who dealt with such raw emotion, which helped provide a contrast of characters.I also have experience in backstage work; I helped lighting, props and makeup. My favourite set I worked on was Westside story at Dean close, there always a lot to do and I really enjoyed the experience of a different side to theatre. Drama helped uncover so many hidden aspects of myself but what drama gave me were the skills to analyse a play but it showed me the importance of teamwork, and because I am apart of the schools Hockey team, I am a good leader prefer but I prefer being apart of a team of equals. I am also learning business studies which I thought would help me understand the financial part of the theatre industry, it has helped me to get to grips with how I would manage a production team. I was apart the young enterprise team at my school which gave me further experience of how to manage finace in an actual company setting. Our business was very successful and went to the south west finals. As well I study psychology; I enjoy psychology because I am fascinated with human behaviour. But psychology has been very useful for my drama helping to understand certain aspects of the human mind giving me an advantage in being able to analysis characters and their desires. Psychology helped me often when trying to get to the bottom of how a character experiencing such emotions and it gave me the idea of how that character might act.In my spare time, I spent a lot of time with young children; due to my family having close relation with many young children, as well as babysitting children in my neighbourhood. I like doing this because I think it I helped me gain many skills, like patience and it helped me understand children and how they grow. I love to sing and enjoy many things like walking that is how I earned my Duke of Edinburgh bronze award. Before going to university I am taking a gap year, in my GAP the year ill be participating within a course that helps me get to grips with directing and acting as a career learning from experienced thespians, I think it will help me understand the industry as whole and it will make me more determined to follow acting as a career. After my drama degree, I aim to be accepted at a drama school, to help perfect my acting, so I can therefore go forward and act having a large amount of experience and understanding of theatre. I think the combination of the experiences; will give me an edge over other actors due to the large amount of understanding I will gain.I look forward to the drama course as a new challenge and I am determined to excel.

膳食學英文自傳範例 Dietetics Personal Statement Example米德佳提供翻譯服務,英文自傳,英文履歷表,英文求職文件,學術論文修改及文件編修等服務。I am applying for this course because I am very interested in becoming a dietitian. I have been interested in this career for a number of years. I enjoy chemistry and food related subjects and I am interested in working for the health service. As well as this I am intrigued about how the body works and the influencer nutrition has on this. My A-level in biology covers briefly the variations in dietary requirements as the life cycle takes place. I have enjoyed this subject and would like to study it in more depth. I have completed 1 week shadowing the dietitian’s at ___________. I enjoyed every minute of it and I particularly enjoyed the dietitian’s clinics. The clinic’s allowed the dietitian to have one to one contact with the patient. This seems the most effective way to change a patient’s behaviour. The majority of patients I came into contact with had some form of diabetes, but I also saw anorexia and obesity. The skills used during these appointments were fascinating. I often saw a cycle of a dietitian who managed to persuade patients who were not thinking about change to change some parts of their diets. These skills are essential in this career and are preliminary taught through the degree and improved in practice. This week was also helpful as it helped me confirm my career choice and therefore my university options. My A -level subjects are very relevant to this course. The course is split into 2 main areas, academic and clinical work. In the first year the course covers a lot of biochemistry, and I believe my a-levels in biology and chemistry will help me here. The course will also contain numerous calculations especially in working out specific requirements. My mathematics knowledge will help me here. There will be many parts which are new to me and these include behavioural sciences such as psychology and sociology. Modules in professional studies will also be new to me although my work experiences has enabled me to observe some of these skills in practice. My main career aim upon successful completion of the course is to practise as a dietitian in the UK, for the NHS. I then hope to achieve senior status. As a person I view myself as organised committed and friendly. I think these are all qualities which will help me in the dietetic world. I am organised because I complete all my college assignments on time, and to a high standard. I like to organise my days in advance so tasks get completed on time, and free time is used effectively. I believe I am committed to my studies. I chose to attend a college with a higher profile than my local college event though this resulted in 90 minutes of travelling per day. I feel I am friendly, and can mix with other people in unfamiliar situations. This is important as communication skills are vital in a dietetic career. In my spare time I enjoy voluntary work, leisure activities and part time work. I am currently a young Guide leader for my local Guide group. This has enabled me to work towards the Guide Association’s leadership qualification. On completion I will, be qualified to be an assistant Guide Leader. The qualification aims at developing skills required in order to run a unit and also develops teamwork and leadership skills. For leisure I am a member of my local gym. This is primarily to improve fitness but it also builds self confidence and I meet new people. I am currently employed at my local Primark store as a till operator. The job has enabled me to develop customer service skills, which will be important in my future career. As well as these activities I like to take part in my college’s enrichment programme. I have participated in IT enrichment and Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. The IT enrichment have provided me with OCR qualification in text production up to level 3. I am continuing with these classes in order to obtain the Diploma in Text Production. I am currently working towards Duke of Edinburgh Gold award, and have completed the expedition and residential aspects of this award. For my residential I took part in an International Guide and Scout camp, where I was a staff member working on the catering team. Both exploration and residential helped me incorporate team work but in different scenarios.

平面設計英文自傳範例 Graphics Design Personal Statement Example米德佳提供翻譯服務,英文自傳,英文履歷表,英文求職文件,學術論文修改及文件編修等服務。At university I hope to study graphics design, the reason for this is because from a young age I’ve always had a very high interest in advertising and graphics design everything that is around us has been designed and this has always fascinated me, I’ve wanted to be involved and a part of this, in my spare time I normally educate myself looking at tutorials on either web design, video editing and graphics such as Photoshop and Indesign, my strongest software experience is Photoshop and Indesign and I spend my majority of my time designing abstract and random graphics in affect this means that I’m very familiar with the adobe products interface and the majority of the panels, my video editing skills are very mild which means there’s room for improvement.During my two years of sixth form I’ve built strong relationships between the teaching staff through my determination and willingness to help them whenever there in need of assistance, I have designed a number of posters for a range of different teachers advertising events that were occurring in the college, an example of this was a concert poster that I designed for the music department to help them raise money for a school trip to new York. Another Achievement was the designing of the school website, me and 2 other colleagues in my college was put in charge of designing the school website which I and the staff were highly impressed with the outcome, I gained 12 GCSE’s at grade C and Above including art and graphics design which shows that I have been interested in graphics design and art from a young age and that I’ve also had a clear mindset wanting to progress down the path way of graphics design and advertising, I also had a part time job for 3 years working in an youth empowerment centre which helped to improve my organisational skills an example of this is admin work such as reorganising the jobs display board. Built my overall confidence with dealing with members of the public, this is due to running educational workshops to younger members of the public. At a young age I was inspired by my uncle who was a designer and he has worked for artists such as take that, Britney spears, Robbie Williams and many other major mainstream stars, whenever I was around him and his was busy doing work I would always ask questions and was so engaged in everything he told me.Through the research I’ve taken out looking at graphics design courses has inspired me a great deal more that this is the career path that I was made to do, within graphics design there is illustration, 3D design and typography, I’m always playing around with text to make it look as artistic as possible when designing things so typography is something I’ve also really been passionate about.I Have a natural eye for design as everywhere I go I seem to inspect and observe all design work and high quality illustrations such as restaurants that I go to I observe their menu’s and think to myself how could they improve their advertising, some would call this a habit or even a hobby. The current subjects that I’m studying at college are Product design, Media Studies and ICT, I have an extremely high interest in all my subjects but I’m naturally skilled in Media studies, because it was so easy to incorporate Graphics and design into my work it was a huge reinforcement with my practical coursework giving me a high A in The coursework, ICT is very similar, for A2 I’m creating a website for a legit client and they have requested it to be aesthetically pleasing meaning to my advantage I can again incorporate graphics into my studies. Product Design again is the same situation, I’m remarketing a product currently on the market and re branding it to improve its marketing and advertising, this involves posters, the illustration on the bottle and a POS stand meaning yet a third time I will be incorporating graphics into my studies.Hobbies that I have are basketball which I occasionally play in my spare time. Also In my spare time I enjoy working out and keeping fit, I’m very conscious about my health and it also gives me a chance to get away from my studies and for me its a type of relaxation, this also helps with my organisational skills as I know how to separate work from play.

室內設計英文自傳範例 Interior Design Personal Statement Example米德佳提供翻譯服務,英文自傳,英文履歷表,英文求職文件,學術論文修改及文件編修等服務。I have always had a great interest in Interior Designing. This is because I have a passion for interior designing which developed form a love of designing catalogues. My interest has grown through watching programmes related to designing homes. I understand that designing the interior is very important whether it’s a home, school, office or any other building as it makes a place look unique and fit for purpose. I am applying for this course because I want to develop my knowledge of interior designing. In future I intend to help people with my creative ideas in decorating and designing to help them make their homes look attractive also give them what they are looking for. I eagerly want to learn how a space is planned and then presented. I want to gain the knowledge of how to mix materials together to make a comfortable space. I would like to learn how to furnish space, and how texture, colour, lighting and other factors combine and interact to make a space eye-catching and pleasing. Looking at different homes and offices made me realise how designing the interior plays an important role in our lives to make our surroundings look beautiful.Throughout my BTEC studies I have gained and developed many skills in different areas of art and design. I have obtained several skills which I can transfer into designing. I have learnt how to do screen printing onto paper using many different colours. Screen printing is a very unique technique which allows me to produce a picture which looks abstract because of the use of block colours. I realised how I could design an abstract image using the screen printing which would reflect my imagination.I have also learned how to work with different materials in my 3D textiles recycling unit, where I learned how I was able to weave and combine different materials such as wool, plastic, tissue paper and fabric together onto cardboard. I realised how an old technique could look so great with using different colored materials and it also could be used in decorating a place where old and contemporary techniques could be combined. Another project that I really enjoyed during my BTEC course was fragmentation and distortion. I enjoy this unit very much as I learn how to develop a film and how to produce prints using the darkroom. I have experimented with several darkroom techniques such as solarisation and homemade negatives. I learned how to make my own negative with sequin, glitter and net. With my homemade negative I produced some beautiful enlarged prints for which I had to use the enlarger in the darkroom.Out of college I enjoy visiting art galleries such as the National Art Gallery London. One artist that had really inspired me during my printmaking work was Andy Warhol who changed the viewpoint of pop art and made people realize what it is. I also enjoy flicking through furniture catalogues where professionals have presented their furniture in a beautiful way in a room and have decorated it outstandingly.I have an excellent attendance record and I am very punctual. I can work within a group effectively and can collaborate very well with others. I also have very good communication skills when working with others. I can work individually and can present my work very well to a group. I mange my time effectively and can meet deadlines when required. In future, I would like to be an interior designer and I want to work on different projects which have different needs and design a place in a way that attracts people to my work and ideas. I want to satisfy the people I will work for in the future and make the most of my skills. I think that I am best suited for the Interior Designing course because I have an aspiration to study this course further in university and to become a successful interior designer.

產品設計英文自傳範例 Product Design Personal Statement Example米德佳提供翻譯服務,英文自傳,英文履歷表,英文求職文件,學術論文修改及文件編修等服務。From a young age I have always been interested in how things work, and would often get told off by my dad for taking things apart around the house! I feel that my strength in school lies in the more ‘male’ minded subjects such as Maths and Design Technology, and I feel that engineering is the right route for me to take.
Being part of the Engineering Education Scheme in Wales (EESW) for the past two years has reinforced my decision for wanting to become an engineer. I enjoy using the skills I have learnt in my A-Level subjects in the EESW projects I took part in last year and am undertaking with my team this year. Last year our team worked with Axiom Manufacturing in coming up with a database that could log, task and identify problems with the company’s hardware. When we went to the Celtic Manor for the presentation day, we were nominated for the Best Use of ICT award. This year our team is working with General Dynamics and we are coming up with a solution to a problem they have in the fields. They need us to design an integrated GPS system that service personnel can use in the field to help them locate where they are, and also to show dangers around them. Taking part in this scheme has been challenging and rewarding and has helped improve my teamwork and problem solving skills by working with my team for long periods of time overcoming difficulties with our briefs.I have chosen to do the Year in Industry university course to give me an insight and to help me understand the problems that engineers face in an everyday situation. I also feel that I will mature a lot by carrying out the year in industry and it will help me cope with situations when I enter the world of engineering after gaining my degree. I enjoy Product Design in school and for my project this year I am going to design and make a product that can introduce or help people develop their skills in netball. Earlier in my school career I took part in the Formula 1 in Schools scheme. I found that being part of this scheme was really useful and interesting because it involved researching, designing and making model cars from balsa wood to race down a 20m track powered only by compressed CO2.In other aspects of school, I am a maths buddy to a year 11 pupil, which involves tutoring them once a week with maths problems, to assist them in the run up to their GCSE’s in the summer. After an interview with the Headmaster last December I was appointed Deputy Head Girl of the school, which requires me to work with the Head Boy and Girl in organising prefects around the school, and raising money for the various charities we support. At the end of year 12 I was trained to become a Cybermentor by the charity Beat Bullying. This involves me logging onto their website and talking to people that are experiencing bullying in school to help them in what to do.
Music is also a big part of my life and I am involved in many choirs including my local county youth choir and the National Youth Choir of Wales. I really enjoy being part of these choirs and I believe they have improved my teamwork and listening skills. I am currently taking part in a school show this year which is ‘The Sound of Music’ and I have the part of one of the principal nuns.
Outside of school I volunteer with my local Guide unit as a young adult helper, and with this unit I am working towards my Adult Leader Qualification, which will mean I will be able to run unit meetings by myself. I am also a member of the Senior Section, and with them I have just completed my bronze Duke of Edinburgh and I have started work on my silver award.

綠建築英文自傳範例 Environmental Buildings Design Personal Statement Example米德佳提供翻譯服務,英文自傳,英文履歷表,英文求職文件,學術論文修改及文件編修等服務。The rapid development of urbanization places a huge strain on nowadays architectects to build not only comfortable and solid but also environment- and human-friendly buildings. Thus, Architectural science requires a wide range of engineering and geographical knowledge. With this purpose, I was excited to learn about your master programme which would expand my knowledge to design buildings with minimal global impact. My undergraduate studies included a one-month Garden Observation and Research which made me more aware about ecological function of Architecture and inspired me to engage in this field at Master Level. The undergraduate programme also widely contributed to my architectural creativity with a broad range of alternative courses such as Basis of Woodworking and Basis of Masonry. In addition, the programme further developed my great appreciation and fondness for Traditional Chinese Architecture, in which my university specializes. To extend my perfectionism in this ancient art, I attended sketch and calligraphy courses for 5 years. The university also gave me a valuable opportunity to pursue my interest in sculpture, canvas and pottery through extra curricular classes. One of my sculpture works was published in the book “The History and Amendment of Art”. Through making these works, I gained a profound understanding of architectural aesthetics by enhancing my sense of material, shape and colour. The academic environment of the university contributed to my enthusiasm about architecture just as much as its physical environment. When I just started the course, I was strongly impressed by one of the campus buildings in XXX Style with cyan bricks and black tiles. Deep fascination with the architect’s vivid imagination arose in me a large interest to Western Culture and Architecture. To improve my English language skills, I often interact with International students studying at our university. Collaborative discussions on the subjects of architecture not only taught me to express my ideas clearly but also significantly broadened my horizons. To familiarize myself with British culture and its educational principles, I spent a part of my summer holiday in London, attending various classes at International School of Architectural Association. For one of our group assignments we had to design a comprehensive city concept. This activity perfectly demonstrated the variety of thought and design notions prevailing in different cultures. It was an interesting and challenging task to integrate these ideas in a complex model of a future city. I believe that your course would advance my knowledge to the extend that would allow me to blend the architectural traditions and needs of different cultures and times in the most creative and effective way.I also took advantage of summer and winter vacations to gain valuable work experience in the related field. Thus, working in different Design Companies and Provincial Institute of Architectural Design in the position of/as a ….., I learnt how to…../increased my expertise in … Furthermore, I participated in joint Hangzhou Zhongshan Road project which was designed in cooperation with American Rhode Island School of Design. It was a Road Alteration project which included programming, protection and building of Zhongshan Road. By taking part in this project, I gained a practical insight into the entire process of the operation from investigation and planning, to design and construction. This experience taught me to appreciate the enormous collaborative effort that brings designers creation into life.
I deeply wish for my future projects to be worth such an immense effort in every single way. To design a building that is a part not only of social but also natural environment, it is necessary to compromise knowledge from a wide range of disciplines and subjects such as climate, energy consumption, fabrics and many other. Thus, I believe that your programme would endow me with the desirable knowledge, skills and practice, and I hope to make as valuable contribution to it with my previously obtained expertise and devoted enthusiasm.

藝術設計英文自傳範例 Art & Design Personal Statement Example米德佳提供翻譯服務,英文自傳,英文履歷表,英文求職文件,學術論文修改及文件編修等服務。The decision to study Art and Design as a university course is one which I have spent a lot of time thinking about. After conference with friends and tutors I have decided that this is the right decision for me as although I am performing better academically in another subject, it is in art and design that my real passion lies.
I believe that artists view the world differently. Rather than see a rusty nail, artists see silver, browns, oranges; golds. Swirling shapes and flat surfaces. It is my dream to study the world in this way, the visual attributes and aesthetic properties of objects, and examine how they could be expressed through different colours, shapes, lines and tones. I enjoy art courses extensively, the progression of a project and reflecting on it. I enjoy experimenting with light, colour, subject & mediums; mixing & matching the different aspects for individual results. I feel that I already possess the basic skills necessary to enter this course through my study of art and design at GCSE and A-Level. A lot of my interest in art and design also lies in other’s interpretation of it. For this reason I am excited about the prospect of working through a course with others. To see how their interpretations and aspirations differ from my own; and to gain insight and inspiration from comparing works.
During my spare time over the last few years I have experimented with all aspects of art and design. From abstract painting to detailed pencil portraits, comics, sculpture and fashion design. I also briefly studied photography at AS level although unfortunately I had to drop this subject as the amount of work was interfering with my art course. In a university course I hope to refine my interest in art and design. Focusing on one or two aspects of the subject which I would then expand and develop on. I believe that a university course is the perfect place to work on this process. I am also excited about the prospect of learning new techniques. I am aware that the techniques touched upon during GCSE and A-Level were limited and look forward to exploring much more.
My main interests & hobbies lie in the Arts, Film and photography. I enjoy taking photographs and have had photos used by both Amnesty International and local newspapers. I visit the cinema at least once a week with friends; I especially like films of a documentary nature that give an insight into life of another culture. I find cinematography a particularily interesting aspect, how a freeze frame of a moment can be transformed into a single beautiful image. I also like to visit art galleries, particularly a local independent gallery called Catalyst Arts. I plan on submitting work to their next member’s show in the near future. I like deciphering the message behind other people’s work and looking for where they drew their inspiration from when I visit galleries. I usually go with friends as discussing each other’s interpretation of the works afterwards is always very interesting. At the weekend I enjoy going to see bands, both signed & unsigned, and hearing music of many different genres. Any other spare time I have I spend on art & design work, and often submit art to things like charity auctions and competitions.
At the minute I am studying a 2 year A Level course at Belfast Metropolitan College. The shift from a grammar school to a college was initially difficult however I am glad that I have entered the college as I feel I am better prepared for a university course because of it. By studying at BMC I have learnt to mature academically and personally, to be self disciplined and to study for myself and by myself. I feel that I would easily adjust to a university course after studying here as both university and college courses rely on independent study and motivation which I feel I have exhibited since starting at BMC.
I took up the one year Art History A Level as I was bitterly disappointed in my results from AS Level Art. On reflection I think I was unaware of how much of a jump there was from GCSE to A Level & that there was a different structure & aim to the projects. This year I feel I am better adjusted & should perform well in the Art A Level, however I have taken up Art History as a security measure & as a source of inspiration for my projects. I feel I am progressing well in the subject & am enjoying the classes thoroughly, despite it being very condensed.
I also feel I have been prepared for this course in some ways by my work experience. In my first job, in an opticians, I often had to work on the aesthetics of the store, thinking carefully about what colours would best compliment each other and represent the aura of the store. I also worked on letterhead, logo and website design for the owners of this company. At the minute I am working as a contact centre advisor for Vodafone mobile (previously sky broadcasting). However I do not find this job fulfilling or beneficial to me in any way and am currently looking for a job in the arts. I also worked as a volunteer for Springfield Charitable Association, a local charity. This job especially taught me to work as part of a team as we relied on each other & depended on a team spirit to move projects along. Working for many years has also taught me management of time & money, which I think will be especially important whilst living independently and studying at university. I feel I have developed interpersonal skills and organizational skills through all this which will also benefit me and keep me focused in university.
